The New York State Department of Health has issued emergency regulations that will compel health care workers, including dentists, who work in health care facilities such as hospitals or clinics to be vaccinated against the flu.
A copy of the regulations is attached. This emergency rule takes effect immediately and will be in effect until November 10, 2009, at which time the New York State Department of Health will seek to make the rule permanent.
