Tripartite Membership
Membership in organized dentistry is tripartite and includes the American Dental Association (ADA), New York State Dental Association (NYSDA) and a local dental society, Nassau Dental Society (NCDS). In this system, dentists benefit from all the levels of membership and representation. Reduced dues are available to recent dental school graduates and those in residency programs. In addition, a dues payment plan is available to dentists who have graduated from dental school or graduate training within the last five years. Recent graduates who have been out of school for less than one year can become full active members of the tripartite system for the remainder of their graduation year at no cost.

New York State Dental Association
NYSDA members have access to:

Professional Liability Insurance

Collections
Reasonable rates, tenacious service and a high recovery percentage represent the cornerstone of a new program providing collections on delinquent accounts for Nassau County Dental Society members. The program is being provided by NCSPlus Incorporated (NCS), one of the nation's leading collection service/accounts receivable management firms. As opposed to companies that charge a percentage of the bill, or a flat fee and a percentage, NCS charges our members only a low flat fee for these services. NCS will pursue small and large balances for individual or business accounts and give equal attention to both. In addition, NCS is willing to work with a large or small number of delinquent accounts. Dental Office Credit Card Acceptance Program

NYSDA has obtained a lower rate for its members on its endorsed Merchant Credit Card Processing program through NOVA Information Systems, Inc. Chemical Dependency

The association's Council on Chemical Dependency provides a statewide network of dentist-peers available to assist members and their families in addressing substance abuse problems. Assistance is available from dentists who have experienced both the devastation of the illness and the effectiveness of intervention and treatment in their own lives.
This service is both confidential and non-punitive. In addition, NYSDA can help dentists protect their license and privileges to practice in New York State through referrals to the New York State Education Department's Professional Assistance Program. Placement (Confidential) Service
The leaders of the Nassau County Dental Society approved a confidential placement service as new member benefit.
