ata sheets/safety data sheets) labeling requirements and employee training
that required mandatory office compliance after June 1\, 2016\, includin
g additional documentation requirements. OSHA constantly develops new sol
utions and standards to protect employees from injury and illness. It is
the responsibility of employers to stay up-to-date on any OSHA changes to
remain legally compliant\, or face fines and costly claims that could lead
to lawsuits. Dentists and their employees should update themselves at le
ast annually and place appropriate documentation into their office manuals

 s. The mandatory updates will be discussed in detail with handouts that w
ill help guide the practitioner\, hygienist and staff comply with the mand
ate that has instituted in 2016\, and any other changes that have occurred
after that date.Practitioners are encouraged to bring their staff members
to facilitate compliance: otherwise\, practitioners must fabricate their
own document acknowledging dissemination of this update to their staff and
place such documentation into the office manual. If an employer brings sta
ff\, a separate employer/employee training attestation document (that the
employer and staff will sign at the end of the course) will be given to th
e employer to place into their office manual. Employers and their employe
