  Peter Mychajliw received his D.D.S. degree from the New York University C
 ollege of Dentistry with multiple clinical honors in 1987. He then complet
 ed a two year hospital based General Practice (Chief) Residency (LIJ Med C
 tr) and subsequently entered private practice Dr. Mychajliw has served as 
 General Practice Residency Program Director\, Implant Prosthodontics Secti
 on Head and Infection Control Officer at the LIJ Medical Center (Northwell
  Health) for 17 years.He has developed extensive knowledge in global visio
 n evidence based patient centered best practice comprehensive dental care 
 delivery\, including dental implants\, to challenging diverse patient prof
 iles such as medically/physically/ psychologically compromised patient pop
 ulations. His expertise also includes the dental management of cardiac\, r
 adiation oncology\, HIV\, special needs patients\, chemically addicted\, a
 mong others. He continues to advocate for health equity and to promote div
 ersity and inclusion in Dentistry in institutional and private sector sett
 ings.Dr. Mychajliw is an active full-time NYU Dentistry faculty for over 1
 6 years and serves dual clinical/teaching roles as the Director of the Adv
 anced Comprehensive Care Elective Course Program and as an Assistant Group
  Practice Director.  He also served as Associate Director of the NYU-Lango
 ne AEGD Post Graduate Program- NYU College of Dentistry Campus for six yea
 rs and on the NYU Committee on Academic Review\, CODA teams\, NYU Alumni B
 oard of Directors and Standards and Faculty Development Commission. He cur
 rently serves on the NYU Faculty Council\, Executive Panel of the NYU Acad
 emy of Distinguished Educators\, Humanitarian Council\, NYU Faculty Awards
  Committee and is a Life active member of the ADA and the NYU Dentistry Om
 icron Kappa Upsilon Omega Chapter. He also serves as permanent AGD PACE Co
 ntinuing Education Administrator for The NY Academy of Oral Rehabilitation
 .Dr. Mychajliw has served on several medical center committees including I
 nfection Control and Quality Management and as Infection Control Officer i
 n institutional settings. He is currently on the Board of Directors and CE
  Committees of the Nassau County Dental Society. He also served on the of
