“Beyond Osseointegration: The Evolution of Immediacy in Implant Dentistry”

INSTRUCTOR CURRICULUM VITAE

Daniel Gober, DDS

Dr. Gober has lectured extensively to both general dentists and specialists on a variety of topics related to periodontics and implant dentistry.  Dr. Gober presented to the Florida Association of Periodontists on the principles of extraction socket healing and the application of biologics in bone regeneration and more recently to a group of general dentists on logical management of extraction sockets.  Dr. Gober currently conducts a study club, OsseoInstitute, in Cedarhurst, NY, at which he presents to general dentists and specialists on a variety of topics related to periodontics and all phases of implant dentistry.

Dr. Gober has published numerous articles related to periodontics & implantology in the following peer-reviewed journals: Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry, Clinical Advances in Periodontics, The Journal of Implant and Advanced Clinical Dentistry, and ISRN Dentistry.  Dr. Gober recently authored a manuscript published by The International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry entitled, “Flapless Extraction Socket Healing around An Immediate Implant Placed into a Mandibular Molar Site Without the Use of Regenerative Materials. A Case Report”.  Dr. Gober, together with his colleagues at South Island Periodontics & Implantology, PLLC, publishes a biweekly e-newsletter for general dentists and specialists discussing a variety of topics related to Implant Dentistry.

EDUCATION OBJECTIVES & GOALS

Upon completion of this course, attendee should be able to:

  • Understand the biological basis of immediate implant placement
  • Be familiar with different options of immediate provisionalization
  • Identify contraindications to immediate placement and or provisionalization
  • Identify surgical and prosthetic complications
  • Be familiar with the management of the complications
