COURSE DESCRIPTION/ EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

This seminar will introduce basic accounting principles for the dental office. Understanding routine accounting reports such as a Profit & Loss reports, Cash Flow Analysis  and a Balance Sheets will be broken down and discussed. The importance of cash flow, reserves, and budgets will be reviewed. Other accounting principles will be introduced as well as what information is critical and necessary for an accountant to complete your tax returns. A must know for every young dentist.

Mark Balog, CPA

Before starting his own practice, Balog & Associate, CPAs, PLLC, Mark spent over 8 years in public and private accounting. His experiences include working in the General Corporate Group as a Tax Consultant in the New York offices of Ernst & Young, LLP & Arthur Andersen, LLP.  Mark also spent time working for The NASDAQ Stock Market, Inc. as a Tax Analyst in their Finance Department.
Prior to entering the accounting and tax profession, Mark worked on Wall Street as a Federal Funds/Eurodollar trader for Lasser Marshall, Inc. & National Bank of Canada.  In addition, Mark has engaged in several successful entrepreneurial endeavors. Mark’s unique background has enabled him to apply his intellectual capital, business experience and resources in a partnering relationship with his select clients.
Mr. Balog holds his professional license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with the state of New York and is a current member of the National Conference of CPA Practitioners (NCCPAP).

Pre-registration is required for all courses. Payment is due upon registration (where applicable). Refunds will be issued if we are notified more than 24 hours prior to the event start time; credits for future courses will not be provided. The schedule is subject to change.
