SPEAKER

Belinda C. Basaca, MD, MS

Dr. Belinda Celis Basaca (aka Dr. B) holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology-Biology from Union College in Schenectady, New York, Master of Science in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, and an MD degree with a Distinction in Research, both from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. After graduation, she went on to  Pediatric Residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York.  Upon completing her training, Dr. B worked at a couple of pediatric private practices on Long Island before opening her own brainchild, New Health Pediatrics, in her hometown of Glen Cove. Experiencing burnout herself, she became an advocate of healthy practices in mind, body and spirit for adults and children especially busy professionals. Although she no longer practices clinical medicine, she continues to help people live healthy lives as a global lifestyle and cultural consultant, speaker and author (“Mom, I Wanna Be a Fighter! An Eye Opening Guide to the Speed Bumps, Gut Punches & Miracles of Life!” is Dr. B’s debut book publication).
