Dental insurance reforms highlight importance of organized dentistry

State dental societies, working with the ADA's State Public Affairs program, successfully advocated for 149 new state laws on dental insurance reform from 2018 to 2023 that have helped patients and dentists. Mark A. Vitale, D.M.D., chair of the New Jersey Dental Political Action Committee, said the success highlights the impact and importance of organized dentistry.
